You can create a stand-alone event (schedule, task or appointment) in a calendar using copy and paste.

Any events created in this manner are considered stand-alone events, even if the original event that was copied was created from a recurrence. |
To Copy an event, right click on an event in the Calendar. Click on the "Copy Selected Event" option from the context menu.

Common Windows Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V keyboard shortcuts can also be used to copy and paste individual events on calendars.
