Common Windows Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V keyboard shortcuts can also be used to copy and paste individual events on calendars.
Quick Clone
Another method of copying events is the Quick Clone feature. This feature allows you to quickly copy an event over several weeks without using a recurring event.
Tip |
---|
For example, if you are setting up a pattern of schedules on every Friday for only a five week period, it may be easier use the Quick Clone feature to create those schedules instead of adding a recurring schedule. For open-ended patterns of events or more specialized patterns (e.g. every two weeks, once a month, etc.) using a recurring event is recommended. |
To Quick Clone an Event, right click on the event in the calendar. Select the "Quick Clone Event" option from the context menu.
On the screen that pops up, simply select the day(s) of the week to create schedules and how many weeks forward (from the selected event) to create schedules. Click OK and the events will be created.
Once the events have been created, the system will prompt you to report on any warnings or errors that may exist on any of the newly created schedules, in the same manner as errors are reported after generating a recurring schedule.
