Embedding Information into a Text Message

When sending out automatic schedule texts, Companion has the ability to include many options.

Creating these settings are completed in the User Defined Module.

Instructions:

  • In the User Defined Module, click on the Scheduling drop down and select Event Reminders
  • Click on Add to open the Notice window

  • Select the Event Category - this relates to the type of event you are applying the message to.
  • In the Message box, type the message you want to appear in the recipient's text
  • If you would like to use the options below, include them in the message box.

EXAMPLE: The set up below would result in the Caregiver receiving the following message five minutes prior to all of their schedules:

"You have a schedule with Annie S" <date and time of schedule>

Depending on the fields you use, your text message may become quite large and may be broken into two or more messages, thus incurring extra costs.
