The Call In Only for Back to Back Schedules feature allows caregivers to only make start of calls for successive back to back schedules in a sequence, with the system automatically setting the end times on E-TimeCards based on the call in time for each successive schedule. This allows the caregiver to make fewer calls by eliminating the clock out for the previous schedule(s), and is more accurate than the /wiki/spaces/HCV5/pages/6553829 feature, as it actually records the actual start times of each successive schedule in the sequence.
This option is disabled by default and must be enabled in the Telephony Setup screen in the Agency Office Module.
HomeTrak does not recommend using this feature in conjunction with the Breakout Across Back-to-Back Schedules feature. HomeTrak also does not recommend using this feature if your caregivers enter Call Types, Tasks or Expenses on their End of Visit calls.
Back-to-back schedules can be described as consecutive schedules for the same caregiver, with no gaps between the scheduled end time of one schedule and the scheduled start time of the next schedule. The sequence of back-to-back schedules can be for the same client or different clients with the same address and phone number (for example, for separate schedules for husband and wife clients in one home).
If this feature is enabled, the caregiver only needs to clock in for each schedule in the sequence, only clocking out at the end of the last schedule. Each successive clock in will end the previous E-TimeCard, applying the new clock in time as the clock out time for the previous schedule.
Because there is no actual end of call entered until the end of the sequence, any call type, expenses, errand miles or tasks performed entries will only be applied to the last schedule in the sequence. Therefore, if your office requires call type or task verification on schedules, HomeTrak recommends you do not use this feature.
