Migrate Mobile App Users to HomeTrak Identity (iOS/Android)

HomeTrak Identity provides each user with a single account that is used for accessing all HomeTrak applications including HomeTrak Companion, HomeTrak Mobile for iOS and Android, and HomeTrak Online. This replaces the legacy access-key based system that used a alphanumeric key alongside a username and password.

Migrating a Single Caregiver or Office Staff to HomeTrak Identity

  1. Identity the user you wish to migrate.

  2. Under Account on the selected profile select Manage User Account (Identity)

3. On the next screen validate that the User name and Email address are the same and contain a valid and functional email address for this person. This User name will become their new user name they will use for authenticating with Identity.

4. Click Create and Email Identity Account. This will email the selected person a Welcome to Identity email that will contain instructions for setting their password and their security questions.

Creating a HomeTrak Identity account does not disable the user's access-key based account. Both accounts can exist side-by-side to support a smooth transition.

Troubleshooting Steps after Conversion to Identity.

Companion

If you have been using the older non identity login method you will need to change the login screen to identity.
On the login screen click and drag on the bottom right corner (shows as dots) out till you see something like the screen below.
You will then see “Turn HT Identity On”. Click on that.

Now you should be on the HomeTrak Identity - Login screen and can login as shown on example screen above.

Mobile App

Note if a Caregiver has already using the mobile app before converting them to Identity them may experience some issues logging into the mobile app. This is usually due to the phone holding onto the previous login credentials.

There are 2 ways to resolve that.

1.In the app itself on the login screen click and hold the Hometrak logo just to the left of the word Hometrak.

You will now see a screen like below. Click Reset Stored Credentials.

Close/reopen the App and they should be able to enter the Identity credentials at this point.

Do not check I Have an Access Key.

2. Uninstall/reinstall the app

Congratulations! You have successfully completed the new log in procedure for HomeTrak Version 6.
