How Participants are Matched with Employers
When you enter a participant into a schedule the system automatically initiates checks to see how well the selected participant fits requirements of the employers using the
information that has been populated in the employer and participant records.
There are many criteria the system uses when performing these checks; it quickly scrolls through each check and can evaluate the match. The system can check such things as whether the participant is active or available, whether the participant has the Skills required by the participant, or whether they are in the correct District. If these checks detect a mismatch between the participant information and employer requirements, warnings can be generated. These Warnings and Errors are reported in the Please Review section in the Detail Panel for the schedule.
For specific Warnings and Errors, the system can be set so the participant is NOT allowed to be saved in the schedule if it is detected that the participant did not meet the
criteria.
You can configure which Warnings and Errors the system will check in the Schedule Warnings and Errors tool in the Quick Access toolbar of the User Defined Module. Within the Warnings and Errors section of the User Defined Module, you can specify which Warnings and Errors items should be checked. In doing so, if a particular Warning or Error does not affect how you schedule your caregivers, it will not be checked.
You can also specify what the system should do if it performs a check and encounters an error or warning. You may specify that the system will not allow the schedule to be saved with that Participant in it; or the system can prompt to indicate that it encountered an error but still allow you to save the schedule with that participant in it; or you can save the schedule with that Participant in it and simply display an error in the Warnings and Errors panel in the schedule.
Prior to entering a participant into the schedule, you may wish to use the Participant Job Matching tool to find an appropriate participant who can work the schedule. This powerful tool can evaluate multiple participants to determine the best possible match for the schedule. This will ensure that the participant added to the schedule is an appropriate match in terms of qualifications and availability before you add them to the schedule. Using the Participant Job Matching tool will reduce the number of Warnings and Errors in your scheduling process.
