Pre-requisites: The person must have a Cell phone on their profile, and the office must be on HomeTrak's Cloud-hosted solution and must be set up with a texting number.
From any module, select the desired caregiver in the results area of the Find Area on the left hand side of the screen.
In the selected result display at the top of the Find Area, click on the drop down menu tool below the person's profile image:
Click on the "Chat" option under this menu to open a chat screen which shows the message history with the selected person.
Enter your message in the message box at the top of the screen and click Send. The new message will appear in the message history and will be sent to the Caregiver as a text message. If the Caregiver uses the mobile app on their Android phone, they will also be able to see their message history within the Android app.
Open the Messaging Module from the Main Module. The link to the Messaging Module is located in the top left corner of the screen above the menu.
NOTE: The default Scenario will be for Active Office Conversations (unread messages that caregivers have sent in to the office number). To find a specific caregiver, change the Scenario to "All Caregivers with Cell Phones".
Select the desired person from the results list in the Find Area.
Their message history will show in the main area of the screen. (Adjust the filter date range in the Find Area to show more or less message history.)
To send a message to the selected person, simply type your message into the message box on the ribbon and click Send. The new message will appear in the message history grid and will be sent to the Caregiver as a text message. If the Caregiver uses the mobile app on their Android phone, they will also be able to see their message history within the Android app.
