Why do I need to finalize schedules?

To run billing and payroll for a schedule in HomeTrak Companion, the schedule must first be finalized.

When you finalize a schedule, you are telling the system that it is ready for Payroll or Billing.  When applicable, finalizing a schedule will automatically move information into the payroll and billing hours for the schedule, based on the payroll options for the caregiver and the billing options for the payer. 

Finalizing a schedule accomplishes two things:

• It validates the Payroll and Billing rates for the schedule's caregiver and payer.
• It confirms whether the schedule is both payroll and billing.
