Caregiver Quick Pick Feature
The "Quick Pick" works as an advanced version of Caregiver suggestion. The screen layout is similar, and the same options to add Caregivers and "Pending" and send them the schedule via SMS text or email are in the Quick Pick screen. Caregivers are ranked in the results by a scoring system that assigns points for matching various criteria in order to list the "best match" for the client/schedule first.
The primary advantages of Quick Pick:
- choosing which scoring criteria you want to enable
- customizing how many points to assign each criteria
- automatically calculating all distance and travel information within the grid without requiring an extra calculation step
The HomeTrak Mobile apps also use the Quick Pick scoring options to provide "Caregiver Suggestion" features on schedules within the app.
How Scores are Calculated/Types of Scoring Items
Standard scoring items give the specified amount of points if the caregiver matches (or does not match) the scoring criteria. These scoring items assign a fixed amount of points to each caregiver.
Multiplier scoring items multiply the scoring points against the criteria being evaluated. For example, the "Distance Before" scoring item multiplies the points by the distance in miles from the caregiver's location previous to the schedule; i.e. the scoring is a points per mile basis.
Percentage Multiplier scoring items assign the scoring points per percentage point of a partial or complete match of multiple items. For example, when evaluating a match on the "Non Critical Skills" scoring item, if the client's Authorization/Care Plan calls for four different skills, and the caregiver is a match on three of them, this would be a 75% match and the scoring points would be multiplied accordingly.
Configuring Scoring Points
To adjust the set of caregivers returned by the Quick Pick feature, configure the Quick Pick scoring options in User Defined Information Module / With Support's Advice / Caregiver Quick Pick Scores.
The text fields on this screen are read-only and informational.
Adjust the "Calculate" and "Critical" check box options and the point values to customize the scoring option.

| Critical | If an item is marked as critical, then caregivers that do not match this criteria will not be returned in the Quick Pick results. For Percentage Multiplier type scoring items, the caregiver must be a 100% match to be returned if it is marked as Critical. |
| Tooltip & Points for Having | Text that will show in the scoring tooltip and/or text box plus the points to assign when the caregiver is a match for this criteria. |
| Tooltip & Points for Not Having | Text that will show in the scoring tooltip and/or text box plus the points to assign when the caregiver is not a match for this criteria. These options will not show for scoring items that are a Multiplier or Percentage Multiplier type of scoring. |

If scoring points are zero, then nothing will be added to the tooltip list when matching this condition.
Use this ability to assign different points for "Having" or "Not Having" the scoring criteria, or to only assign points in either the positive or negative case but not both.
"Multiplier" type scoring items may only be assigned points based on "Having" something, as the points are multiplied by the total amount of the item being scored, e.g. -0.01 points per mile for the "Distance Before" scoring item.
