Documented Event

A Documented Event is any type of event you need to record and report on. Documented Events can play two roles:
- for documenting significant events (good or bad) involving clients and/or caregivers, and
- as a marketing tool to document the minutes of a meeting or conversation with referral sources.
A Documented Event appear in the profiles of all parties involved. You can run robust reports on documented events.
There are different ways to add Documented Events.
Option 1: From the Relationship Management Module:
- Open the Relationship Management Module.
- Select an appropriate Person or Organization’s tab on the Ribbon.
- Select a Person or Organization’s name in the Find Area.
- Click on Documentation drop down arrow tool on the Ribbon and choose Documented Events.
- Click on “Add” in the toolbar and set-up a specific Documented Event.
Option 2: From the Calendars Module:
- Open the Calendars Module.
- Select the appropriate Person’s tab on the Ribbon.
- Select a Person or Organization name in the Find Area.
- Click on Scheduling tool drop down arrow on the Ribbon and choose Documented Events.
- Click on “Add” in the toolbar and set-up a specific Documented Event.
Option 3: Attached to a specific Schedule:
- When editing a Schedule, click on the Documented Event tool on the ribbon at the top of the Add/Edit Schedule screen to add a Documented Event tied to this Schedule.
Continue setting up the Documented Event.
In the Add Documented Event screen, enter the required information.
Important fields to use when creating a Documented Event:

Category | Choose the appropriate category when creating documented events to ensure accurate data measurements in your Documented Events reports. (The Documented Events report can be sorted by Category.) |
Who else was involved? | Add all parties involved in this event so the documented event will appear in their profile(s). |
Notes | If you need to provide more detail about this documented event than the explanation field allows, add a Note. Notes are date- and time-stamped. |
